A place to settle into – the retro jukebox tunes are familiar and the couches & booths welcoming.
The cocktails pay homage to the classics but with a fresh spin. The food is simple, full of flavour, and exactly what you want with a drink in hand.
Dean’s brings back the old school eclectic charm Kings Cross was renowned for, and if allow yourself you may just get taken back in time, or at least to a moment you are truly present in.

A little history...
Dean’s Lounge is a reinvention of Dean’s Cafe – an institution that welcomed locals and late night revellers to Kellett Street, Kings Cross for over 3 decades from the mid 70s. It was kooky but so charming – nothing matched but everything fitted just perfectly.
The essence and casual charm of the original Deans has been kept as we wanted to bring a little bit of that back to the area. There is a vintage video games table plus board games to play while you listen to a soundtrack of mainly 80s tunes. Enjoy.
